Somaliland’s Minister of Commerce and Tourism Arrives in Ceerigaabo for Official Work Visit Erigavo, (Hornpost) – Somaliland’s Minister of Commerce and Tourism, Attorney Abdirahman Hassan Nur, arrived today in Erigabo, the capital of Sanag region, as part of an official working visit.
The Minister received a warm welcome on the outskirts of the city, where he was greeted by regional and district officials, including the Deputy Governor of Sanag, Salah Yusuf; the Deputy Mayor of Erigavo, Abdirahman Gaadhijiid; the Regional Coordinator of the Ministry of Commerce, Ahmed Salah; the Regional Secretary, Dr. Ayro; local business leaders such as Abdirisaaq “Miinshaarta”; MPs, traditional leaders, and members of the wider community.
In his remarks, Minister Abdirahman Hassan Nur thanked the people and administration of Sanaag for the respectful and heartfelt reception. He stated that his visit forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to accelerate commercial development, promote investment, and strengthen tourism opportunities—particularly in Sanag, a region with significant economic and tourism potential.
During his stay in Erigavo, the Minister is expected to hold meetings with regional officials, business owners, and community representatives to assess existing needs and develop strategies aimed at boosting the region’s economic growth.
The Ministry of Commerce and Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to advancing its strategic plans to enhance trade and promote tourism across Somaliland.
